Naya Rivera: The photo the actress took before she disappeared helped search teams

Naya Rivera’s body was discovered in Piru Lake on Monday, nearly a week after the actress disappeared and her son was discovered alone in her rental boat. Although no one knows what happened in her final moments, the “Glee” star’s text message to a family member helped in the actress’ search operations, according to one report.

Rivera sent a photo of his 4-year-old son, Josey, to a relative, who has a very important detail to help the government with his mission. Diver Robert Inglis of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office’s search and rescue team told Us Weekly that the symbol showed the “child in the boat near a creek.”

“We found out where this creek was, ” said Inglis on Sunday.

Rivera allegedly took the photo between 90 minutes and 2 hours before his son was discovered on the boat sleeping in a life jacket, Page Six reported. Authorities used the symbol background as a starting point for the search, Inglis said.

“We sent our diving members to those two places and searched them,” Inglis added.

In maximum cases, there are many witnesses “who see jumping off a ship so that we know which domain to look for and we can locate the frame more quickly.” However, in Rivera’s case, no one made it.

“In this case, it may just be the total lake. There are many coves to look for,” Inglis said.

The team of divers used a sonar to locate the frame of Rivera, who is best known for his role as Santana in “Glee. A painting was discovered Monday on Lake Piru in a domain between 35 and 60 feet deep and later known as the actress.” CNN reported.

The mother and son rented a boat on July 8, but three hours after the non-public boat could return, the staff went to check their house. The boy, who discovered alone, said Rivera went swimming but did not return to the boat.

The boy was wearing a life jacket and the government discovered another in the boat, which led them to rivera not wearing one when he went swimming.
