CNBC’s and Momentive’s workforce happiness index drops to a score of 100, one point lower than the previous survey index in November 2021.
ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N. J. et SAN MATEO, CA, May 27, 2022 — CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, and Momentive (maker of SurveyMonkey), a leader in agile management, today announced the effects of their latest survey.
CNBC | Momentive survey found that inflation has a negative effect on the workforce, with two-thirds of employees (66%) saying inflation has outpaced all the wage increases they have achieved in the past 12 months. The survey found that those with income sources between $50,000 and $150,000 are more likely to say they are stressed by inflation than those at the higher or lower ends of the income source spectrum. And, due to emerging inflation, 28% of staff now say they are “not well paid”, an all-time high of the survey and 3 more numbers than the November 2021 survey.
The increase in the number of other people who say they are not well paid, as well as the reduction in the number of other people who are positive about the professional development opportunities presented to them through their companies, contributed to a slight decrease at CNBC. and Momentive’s workforce happiness index, which measures employee satisfaction through five key metrics. The index fell one point from the previous survey to a score of 71 out of 100. That’s on par with the index’s all-time low.
Impending fears of inflation are also driving more and more people to change. More people now (39%) than in any other edition of the survey say they have seriously quit their jobs in the last 3 months, up from 33% in November 2021. Younger low-income families (earning less than $50,000) are more likely than older, high-income families to say they have any idea of quitting, and 42% of moms who work with young people under 18 say they have seriously quit smoking in the past 3 months compared to 36% of parents who run.
The survey, which surveyed more than 9,000 employees in the U. S. The U. S. Government of 10-16 May 2022 also revealed that staff ‘for their employers’ talk about social issues and for unions, which after decades of decline are becoming increasingly popular. Thirty-two% of staff say their company talks about social issues, whether they agree with them or not, and 21% of staff say their company talks, but only if they agree with the position. In addition, just over one in 10 staff in the United States is a member of a union, yet the majority of staff (59%) would prefer more unionization in their company. Nearly a portion (46%) of staff say unions are typically “good” for staff, more than double the number who say they are more commonly “bad” (17%).
