Montrezl Harrell returns to Clippers, dedicates the season to his overdue grandmother

The Los Angeles Clippers will do much of their rotation after Montrezl Harrell announced his return to the team on Twitter:

Returned!!!!!!!!

He also posted a video on his Instagram account from his hotel room at Walt Disney World Resort, OHm Youngmisuk of ESPN.

Harrell had been absent since leaving the bubble in Orlando, Florida, on July 17 to care for his grandmother. He died a few weeks later, he announced in a tribute.

The attacker referred to his grandmother in a tweet on Monday:

This for you MA !!!!! I’m different, I think so!

“Losing my grandmother replaced everything in me, everything, life, other living people, everything,” she wrote in an article on Instagram.

Clippers head coach Doc Rivers understood the grieving process and allowed Harrell to take his time to return.

“When he’s in a position, he’ll be back,” Rivers said earlier this month, through Youngmisuk. “You can’t play if you’re not well mentally and emotionally. Array.. His grandmother is very close to him so I told him I love him and I took your time. We’ll be in a position with open arms when you come.”

Now that he’s back, Harrell will now have to be quarantined for at least 4 days before he can enter a courthouse, as long as he continues to test for coronavirus.

It is not known whether he will play in Friday’s last qualifying game opposite the Oklahoma City Thunder, however, he is expected to be available for the start of the playoffs. Clippers have lately have the seed of the moment in the Western Conference.

Harrell’s return is huge for Los Angeles, as it adds the team’s maximum reliable pole presence. The sixth runner-up of the year averaged 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.1 game-consistent blocks, offering balance along with consistent metro stars such as Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Lou Williams.

Returning rotation to full force makes the Clippers one of the most productive contenders to win a championship this summer.
