‘Monarch: Legacy of Monsters’ Wasn’t Filmed for Apple Vision Pro, Producers Confirm

Earlier this year at WWDC, Apple unveiled its Vision Pro headphones, which are expected to replace the videos and screens we see at home with the headset.

In June, Screentimes. net’s Sigmund Judge said he had been told by resources that this Godzilla series would be coming to Vision Pro. “Based on conversations this week with other people familiar with its production, I can verify that the upcoming series @Monsterverse was filmed in Apple’s Spatial Video format, presented this week at Apple’s keynote at the #WWDC23,” he said. This was given to the web talking about Vision Pro and Monarch: Legacy of Monsters.

But with the launch of the new display on Apple TV this Friday, the makers of the display have proven that it wasn’t filmed for Apple Vision Pro.

Chris Black, one of the showrunners and executive producers of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, put that rumor to rest by speaking to The Movie Podcast, when the latter bluntly asked whether this was true or not.

“We’ve heard that you also had the opportunity to film this for the new Apple Vision Pro, and what’s the pleasure of making a screen out of that?” asked one of the co-hosts, Shahbaz from Toronto.

“Well, that’s just not true. . . the series was shot in 4K high-definition virtual video and is not designed to be viewed in 3D or upscaled to 3D,” said Black and Matt Fraction, who is also one of the executive producers. Black wondered how this rumor had started. Wow, are you asking people?” said Fraction.

Another Canadian fact about the new Apple TV series is that it was also filmed in Canada, near Cache Creek, in British Columbia’s Thompson-Nicola domain, in 2022. The third episode of the series is expected to show audiences familiar landscapes of the region, the Thompson-Nicola Film Commission showed earlier this month Castanet. It is the largest film production in the region since Jurassic World Dominion.

The first two episodes of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters will debut this Friday, with new episodes coming week.
