Mobile home sold for £1. 7 million

The sale of a cell house near Fakenham gave the council a windfall of £1. 7 million.

North Norfolk District Council the 4. 7 acres of Parklands, facing Green Lane, to Pudding Norton.

It is over 50 years old and includes 38 rented cell home spaces year-round.

Parklands retained through the council when the adjacent unit was transferred to the Victory Housing Trust in 2006.

The board won an unsolicited bid from a mobile operator in 2018, and then the authority conducted an assessment of what to do with the site.

They stated that owning and operating the park was not a component of the board’s core services, as innovations were needed.

NNDC leader Tim Adams told the board: “I am very pleased to see the sale of Parkland completed, giving the board a very significant capital injection of £1. 7 million. “
