Major League Baseball is developing a plan to allow interested groups to provide percentage data on players at other educational sites. Kiley McDaniel of ESPN.com reported the news (Twitter links), and noted that it has not yet been released.
At this point, it appears that about 20 of the 30 MLB groups will participate in the initiative. You will have the opportunity to percentage knowledge records and videos. It is intended for groups to compare players in the absence of matches or in-person scouting.
Needless to say, this effort will help develop the prospects of summer industries. Teams regularly collect data up to the industry mid-season deadline, however, this activity is almost uncommon at this time, unless they are players playing in the majors.
There is no doubt that this plan is flawed, but at least it turns out to be a cost-effective workaround. The fact that the team does not participate is remarkable. It will be attractive to see how this influences the preparation of the transaction term.
