Mixel MIPI IP joins a growing list of automotive customers, all with good luck in silicon for the first time

Mixel®, one of the leading providers of Mixed Signal IP (IP), announced that Mixel’s patented IP® MIPI solution, MIPI D-PHYSM RX, continues to expand its market percentage and provide complex capacity for automotive microcontrollers.

Mixel has developed a patented MIPI IP configuration, MIPI D-PHY RX, that enables full-speed production verification without the need for a full-D-PHY universal configuration. Thanks to this patented solution, Mixel was able to reduce its footprint and the functionality of the D-PHY RX, resulting in a truly extensive relief of 35% of the surface domain and 50% of the power of sleep. In addition, this unique configuration enables superior knowledge flow functionality by minimizing capacitive load on high-speed series interface pins and isolating loop verification from any load on series interface pins, while achieving a 100 percent full IP verification policy.

The Cypress Traveo II product family® is compatible with the newest automotive networks, provides high-performance graphics engines optimized for minimal reminiscences footprints and features committed to increase in-car knowledge safety.

“For our newest generation of Traveo II® automotive microcontrollers, we had competitive power, surface, and functionality needs in a challenging procedural node,” said Sean Foley, Vice President, Cypress Semiconductor. “Mixel’s progression team has worked well with Cypress and made an additional effort to deliver a patented, differentiated MIPI D-PHY IP for automotive clusters that will enable our consumers to meet their design needs with Traveo II® microcontrollers. Cypress hopes to continue its collaboration. mixel. “

While Cypress is one of the last consumers to implement Mixel’s MIPI PHY IP solutions, Mixel has focused for many years on offering automatic quality IP to its consumers. One of the first GEO Semiconductor, Inc. (“GEO”), the market leader in camera video processors (CVPs) for automotive viewing cameras. Mixel has provided its MIPI D-PHY IP in 3 generations of the CVP circle of GEO product relatives, adding the GEO GW5. Each product a first good fortune in silicon.

“We’ve been working with Mixel for many years over several generations of our automotive resumes, each of which assembles all the functionality and quality goals,” said Kent Goodin of GEO, vice president of hardware engineering. “We have been inspired by his technical excellence. And while we work with many IP providers, we believe that Mixel provides the most productive visitor support in the IP industry.

“It’s exciting to see that Mixel’s IP MIPI is being followed through a growing list of MIPI automotive app licensees and a first good fortune in silicon,” said Ashraf Takla, Mixel’s president and CEO. “We are pleased to see that our patented generation is widely followed and implemented in all market segments.”
