Mitchell Carlson is charged in a police court order request to be a Hell’s Angels biker who may be the so-called “Umbrella Man” known for the government deliberately incited violence in Minneapolis by breaking windows at an AutoZone store after George Floyd’s death. He has not been charged with any crime and is still under investigation, the application says.
The app also accuses Carlson, who is a guy from Minnesota through his criminal record, of being a “full member of the Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang” and a “well-known associate of the Aryan Cowboys” that police intentionally sought to provoke racial discord after Floyd’s death. Police described the Aryan Cowboys as “a well-known gang of criminals from Minnesota and Kentucky.”
The Anti-Defamation League describes the Brotherhood of Aryan Cowboys as “a small prison/street gang of white supremacists primarily in Minnesota and Kentucky.” Its largest symbol is composed of a skull with the initials ACB.

Now it looks like Carlson, the Minneapolis police, may simply be the umbrella man. Erika Christensen, a Minnesota peace officer, implemented a court order to search for premises and property, adding phone calls and text messages. The court order request describes that the “main manifestation of protests” after Floyd’s death is minneapolis’ third ward. He says “the neighborhood’s children’s corner, in the northeast corner, a business called The Auto Zone.”

He liked several pages of Hell’s Angels, also pages titled “Chasing Obama,” “Dishonest Americans” and “Minnesota Gun Rights.” He liked the Facebook pages of celebrities such as Robertson Family Values and the pages of Ted Nugent and Dave Chappelle.
Umbrella Man walked away from the scene heading west, police said.

Police discovered the informant who revealed that the data “came to them through a user who wanted to remain anonymous because they feared Carlson.”
A review of Minnesota’s court records shows that Carlson has been indicted in some cases over the years. In one case, he was charged with harmful weapons: American punches/exchange knife and gun carrying, as well as drug possession, but the rates were dismissed. He also faced traffic violations.
Earlier this year, Carlson was also convicted of “terrorist threats – threat of reckless contempt,” but a rate of internal attacks by strangulation was ruled out. However, Daily Beast highlighted the report by a reporter named Emma Best who said police documents indicated that the Aryan Cowboys “had benefited from ongoing civil unrest to move giant amounts of heroin to the Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota area. They were accused of discussing “inciting riots by posing as members of Antifa,” according to the document he shared on Twitter.
The app alleges that on June 27, 2020, Carlson “was reported from an incident in Stillwater Minnesota where a Muslim woman was racially harassed through an organization of biker club members dressed in Aryan Cowboy’s leather vests. Carlson was photographed with this organization.
The Minneapolis Star Tribune reported in June that “a Muslim woman who claimed to have been threatened by men in white supremacist costumes this weekend at the Stillwater Center led Monday to a police investigation and typhoon on social media. The woman wrote a message on Facebook saying she was having dinner with her little daughter when the men started yelling at her or “seemed to be talking about her.” Restaurant workers showed up to “escort her and her son to a place,” the newspaper reported.
