A massive collection of alleged Xbox files similar to the Federal Trade Commission’s lawsuit against Microsoft has been online, revealing to the public some of the company’s plans for the gaming console, NBC News reported.
The files were uploaded Friday to a server hosted in the U. S. District Court for the Northern District of California, where the FTC is filing a lawsuit to block Microsoft’s acquisition of video game company Activision Blizzard.
According to NBC News, the files come with over a hundred documents, many of which are partially redacted, similar to Microsoft’s Xbox plans.
Douglas Farrar, director of the FTC’s public affairs office, told NBC News that “Microsoft is guilty of the mistake in uploading those documents to court. “
The files come with emails from business executives like Phil Spencer, CEO of Microsoft Gaming, and game schedules.
