Microsoft is expected to launch the Xbox Series X console later this year. However, the Xbox Series X is the only next-generation Xbox console to come this year. A new report suggests that Microsoft will also present an Xbox Series S in the coming months. The Xbox Series S can be a more affordable option and you’ll probably stay with the Xbox One S.

The packaging of the controller suggests that it is meant for the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Android, iOS, and Windows 10. The most noticeable thing here is the mention of the Xbox Series S. Microsoft has been reportedly working on another next-gen console alongside the Xbox Series X, codenamed Lockhart.
The Verge checked to get the photographs and proved they were authentic. The Verge reported that the new controller was sold on a resale site, noting that the controller would work with the Xbox Series X and Xbox S consoles. However, Microsoft has not yet shown the release of a momentary console with Xbox Series X.
The Xbox Series S will likely be Microsoft’s answer to the Sony PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. The Xbox Series S console is expected to be a less powerful version of the Xbox Series X and is expected to include 7.5GB of usable RAM and around 4 teraflops of GPU performance with the same CPU as the Series X. Microsoft is expected to unveil the Xbox Series S sometime this month.
