Last week, Microsoft organized its annual partnership occasion, Inspire, in the format that all screens of the primary generation have followed in the Covid-19 era: all virtual. While this is a decidedly different case from the previous Inspires (see my 2017 and 2018 occasion policy), many of the demanding situations raised through the pandemic are on Microsoft’s helmsbox. As the world, for better or worse, has begun to reopen and many are beginning to return to work, it makes sense that one of the undisputed leaders in productivity and collaborative team in the office has something to offer for the transition. Although there were a handful of classified ads made in Inspire 2020, those who piqued my interest revolved around Power Platform. For those of you who don’t know, Microsoft Power Platform is a very smart and resilient tool that users can use to create and deploy traditional programs for mobile and desktop devices. Perhaps the biggest strength of the platform is that this code-free tool can also be used across non-developers, which is for many small and medium-sized businesses that don’t have a giant enough IT branch to remain committed developers among their staff. With this context out of the way, let’s take a look at what’s new in Power Platform.
Get to work safely
The first announcement I sought to make was the new Power Platform “Back to Work”, or RWT, an end-to-end prefabricated solution designed to make it less difficult for staff to safely return to the office. With many companies, schools, and other organizations looking to return to an appearance of normality, one thing is certain: if a comeback happens, it will have to happen safely if the country needs to prevent the spread of Covid-19, countless lives. and avoid some other closure. Microsoft understands that business leaders and staff are in uncharted waters, and this solution is the company’s attempt to help plan, coordinate, and manage the return to the workplace, first and foremost ensuring the fitness and protection of staff.
The solution, as discussed above, is a predefined solution (in the interest of immediate implementation) and includes a set of customizable modules to provide recommendations to organizations and help protect workers’ fitness and safety. Microsoft promotes Power Platform RTW’s ability to help businesses adapt to the conversion situations surrounding the pandemic in an agile, safe, compatible, and proactive manner.
The first of the modules included in the solution is site preparation. This module will allow companies to better manage a safe reopening by analyzing knowledge (e.g. infection rates, availability of protection supplies) on the availability of services for workers. Then comes Employee Health and Safety Management, a self-service fitness equipment organization to help workers do their jobs safely. The examples come with a cellular app that workers can log in with while they run remotely, and a fitness self-examination that workers can perform on their own before entering the office and potentially disclose to their co-workers.
The third module is Workplace Care Management, which Microsoft believes will provide protection and fitness groups with the equipment they want to “actively manage,” displayed Covid-19 instances within their organizations, identify business spots conducive to fitness and protection, and analyze imported products. Instances. Knowledge of third parties to see who among their staff has been exposed. The final module, location management, is not yet available (although Microsoft says it will “come soon”). This module is expected to be more targeted at maintaining physical condition and protection, providing organizations with equipment to monitor fitness supplies, occupancy, protection protocols, etc.
Data and intelligence
The other most important announcement I wanted to communicate about is Microsoft Dataflex. This solution provides organizations with a built-in, low-code knowledge platform for Teams, which Microsoft believes will make it less difficult to deploy critical programs and business processes with a single click on Teams (and what vital time to deploy those key programs temporarily and easily). Microsoft Dataflex is based on what is known as Microsoft’s Common Data Service, but is now called Microsoft Dataflex Pro. Microsoft Power Apps and Microsoft Power Virtual Agents enable corporations to create and deploy bots that leverage DataFlex’s business knowledge to solve genuine business problems. To be clear, the entire bot structure takes position directly in Teams. Then it’s race time.
Dataflex provides relational knowledge storage, knowledge types, and governance at the enterprise level (which is vital when communicating about critical/sensitive knowledge). Each team in an organization has its own environment in Dataflex, and there are no restrictions on the number of programs it can create and run. The combination of Teams and Power Platform is a difficult combination of two of Microsoft’s most productive offerings: Teams enables productivity, communication, and collaboration, while Power Platform provides you with the intelligence to make literal groups even more effective and effective.
This solution is notable for its integration into Teams. It’s an end-to-end solution that prevents workers from having to move between other facilities and applications. Users will no longer want to connect to external storage, they have Dataflex’s built-in knowledge platform. Users can develop, deploy, use, model percent tradition, and manage Power App solutions, all directly within Teams, whether they’re on the web, tablets, or smartphones. This has the prospect of providing a much more agile and fluid experience, which in turn will increase productivity. In case you’ve been sleeping, Teams is now more than just an office chat tool—it’s a genuine end-to-end integrated platform to consider.
Package
Although the workplace will probably never be the same as before Covid-19, others cautiously leave the workplace and seek to uncover mandatory measures to protect them and their families, while maintaining an appearance of normality at work. Microsoft’s Power Platform RTW aims to facilitate planning, tracking and controlling the fitness and protection of your workers across corporations, a challenge, to say the least, but that I think will be more manageable with Microsoft generation on your side. What I like is the slow march towards prefabricated Power Platform solutions. I think it’s helping companies go beyond “now, what do I do with this tool?” And respond better to a solution that you can replace from blank sheets of paper.
Dataflex also turns out to be a wonderful addition to power platform, making Teams an end-to-end solution for application development. Lately, all corporations are focused on recovery and this will only be facilitated if they have the right equipment at their disposal. When it comes to productivity, few people create teams like Microsoft.
