Microsoft and Qualcomm have been working in combination for the more than 3 years to bring a delight to the market. in that I wasn’t in the afterlife imaginable in the Windows space.

We’ll see hardware and software combine to enable new AI experiences, and Windows on Arm will be the foundation for this new generation of Windows devices. The Windows PC is about to become a capable PC and Windows on Arm is about to have its moment in the spotlight.

Microsoft is the only company we expect to see new Qualcomm-powered hardware starting today. The leaks started pretty early, and one of those computers we expect to take a closer look at is the Snapdragon X-powered Lenovo Yoga Slim 7. Fingers crossed!

Windows on ARM will be in the spotlight today. It’s been around for a while, but with the arrival of the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite platform, it’s still getting a real kick in the butt. But what does it all mean anyway? We’ve got a full explanation about Windows on ARM so you can follow the full story so far.

Windows on ARM will eventually become big business, but there will be other people who will worry about making the switch, especially when it comes to employing their normal applications. Do you want to make any adjustments to the way you paint? The good news is that you don’t have to worry. Even Google Chrome is now local to ARM. We have an explainer that will tell you everything you want. know.

Want to know what Microsoft is expected to announce today? We first saw leaks of a new Snapdragon-powered Surface Pro back in April. Today is Microsoft’s big event, so you know, we’ll soon know how accurate it was.

Here we are. Only in the room. Sounds fancy!

Where the magic happens. . .

30 minutes before the start. We’re expecting a new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, both of which will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chips. The Surface Laptop is expected to feature a new design, the first design update the Surface Laptop line has ever seen. . .

We also look forward to receiving more information about AI. Microsoft is expected to unveil some next-generation AI features for Windows 11 today, which will be exclusive to new PCs introduced with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chip, at least initially.

Looks like we’re about to get started! Satya Nadella now on stage

Satya is preparing the ground. This tells us that PCs will soon be able to anticipate what we need and what our intentions are. And it starts with Copilot.

“It’s still quite early days for this platform replacement. The basic driving force behind this wave of AI is the laws of scale. “

Today we go beyond the cloud, to the device. The AI feature on your PC is in progress.

Microsoft announces “a new category” of devices. An all-new elegance of Windows PCs, designed to unleash the power of AI: Copilot PC!

Copilot PCs are a combination of Windows, systems, and silicon combined to deliver AI-only experiences.

Yusef Mehdi is now up to the task of communicating more about what makes a PC a “copilot” PC.

“We’ve made a huge technological leap forward with those PCs. These are the toughest PCs ever built. “

Copilot PCs have an NPU capable of performing 40,000 billion operations per second.

58% more than the MacBook Air M3!

Copilot PCs have batteries that last “all day. “

Copilot is in Windows. In File Explorer, Edge, Notifications, Settings, etc.

Microsoft is lately introducing a “phone call” between you and Copilot. You can ask Copilot to help you with a task. In this example, the user is gambling in Minecraft and asks how to create a sword. Copilot should see what’s in your inventory.

Here the co-pilot is aware of the context and the vision. You can order them with anything on the screen.

Microsoft is announcing the retirement of Windows. Es a feature that uses artificial intelligence to help you locate everything you’ve done on your computer, natural language.

Recall harnesses the power of AI to deliver everything you’ve seen on your PC.

Windows Recovery is for PC Copilot.

Windows monitors everything you do, but everything is controlled on the device. Nothing is sent to the cloud.

Recall can display snapshots based on your quick search criteria. If you’re looking to locate a dress you were looking for a few days ago on Edge, you can simply describe the dress to Recall and it will take you back to the time when “Get Dressed and Dressed” was on the screen.

Recall includes a timeline interface that allows you to go back in time depending on whether your search criteria have results or not.

Everything Recall does is controlled on the device. Microsoft won’t use any captured knowledge to exercise its AI models. It’s all yours and no one else’s.

Pavan Davluluri now takes the stage to talk about Surface.

“We integrate AI into each and every layer, from chip to formula to cloud. “

Now we have a demo of Recall, this time with an explanation of how the generation works.

There are several other models built into Windows 11 for this. They are deeply embedded and not bolted, says Pavan Davuluri.

There is an incredibly physically powerful technique for privacy. You can pause, stop, and delete captured content. You can even delete quick apps or internet sites so that Recall can’t see them.

Here are more than 40 AI models that combine Recall and Windows Copilot Runtime.

The Windows Photos app can now sense what you’re looking at and will recommend things to edit based on the photo you have open.

I now have a Copilot demo that can help you with the game. You can ask him for recommendations and, based on what he sees, recommend things to you.

Now we hear from Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm about how they all come together for Copilot PCs.

“Intel, Qualcomm and AMD are all on board. “

16GB of RAM minimum on those Copilot PCs.

Notably, only Qualcomm is currently available with a Copilot chip. Intel and AMD’s Copilot chips won’t be available until later.

Microsoft claims to have rebuilt Windows upside down for Arm.

Now touting incredible performance, beating the MacBook Air M3.

Microsoft notes that most of the apps it uses now are built natively for Windows on Arm.

Announcing Prism, a new emulation layer for Windows on Arm that’s 20% faster.

Brett Ostrum now on stage. It’s time to surface.

Announcing the new Surface Laptop and Surface Pro.

As expected, the new laptop has a new design. Slimmer bezels, haptic touchpad.

That’s 80% more than the Surface Laptop 5.

The new Surface Laptop outperforms the MacBook Air in battery life. Incredible!

Now we have a demo showing how the Surface Laptop outperforms the MacBook Air in almost every single task.

Adobe is bringing more cloud to Windows on Arm Soom, adding Premiere Pro.

Interestingly, we haven’t spent time on the Surface Pro yet.

Now let’s talk about Live Captions, which is now capable of translating languages in real-time from pre-recorded or pre-recorded audio.

Now it’s time to upgrade to Surface Pro!

The Surface Pro is 90% more than the Surface Pro 9. Crazy.

Confirmed: The new Surface Pro has an OLED with HDR.

And a quad-HD camera!

The keyboard is now called the Surface Pro Flex Keyboard and can be used or disconnected.

Now let’s talk about how to generate photos in Windows. Cocreator, so you can “explore the full diversity of your imagination. “

You can use Cocreator to bring a comic strip to life.

Incidentally, the new Surface Pro still has that ventilation area around the chassis, which means it uses the same chassis as the Surface Pro 9, the thinner chassis of the Surface Pro X.

Quick demo of CapCut, the NPU for removing the background from a video. It’s now 3x faster on the new Pro compared to the Pro 9.

The Surface Pro and Surface Laptop are the start, says Brett Ostrum.

Although it doesn’t look like we’ll have any more Surface hardware today.

All major brands of Windows hardware are built-in with Copilot. Many will ship new hardware this summer with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X chips.

Check out some of the new OEMs now

They all look portable. . .

Lenovo, Dell, Acer, ASUS, and Samsung ship Copilot PCs.

Copilot PCs start at $999.

And that’s it! In short: new next-gen AI features, new Surface Pro, new Surface Laptop, all powered by Arm. Pretty interesting stuff.

It’s the era of the Copilot PC. We’ll soon get to grips with the new Surface.
