When Lost Bay United Methodist Church in Florida built a sanctuary on the ground, the optimal politics and intelligibility of the newly installed sound formula became the most sensible priorities.
The church’s highly experienced AV engineer, Kenny Stewart, controlled the project and, after consulting with Brian Smith, vice president of Pro Sound.

“I was on board after hearing those comments. I needed the fully piloted system, adjustable models, input and from a reliable manufacturer and a transparent general music system.
After other high-end brands, their decision came in favor of martin Audio’s recently introduced TORUS constant bending network, in particular designed to bridge the gap between a full-size line network and a point source solution. Stewart and his brother Kris then embarked on the installation process.

TORUS has perfectly met the adjustable style control requirement. Designed for programs that require a diversity between 15 and 30 meters, the T1215 offers a narrow vertical trend of 15 degrees with a flexible horizontal trend that can be manually adjusted between 90 degrees, 60 degrees or 75 degrees while the T1230 offers similar attributes, but with a vertical trend of 30 degrees.
“Havingn’t heard those submarines in the air, I was worried I had enough output,” Stewart said. “But I’m amazed at how sharp and strong the bass is with only 4 SXCF118s in flight. “

The formula is powered through 3 4-channel iKON iK42 amplifiers from Martin Audio, and all the processing of the speakers is located in the amplifiers.
This new sound platform gives more than enough SPL to serve the two Sunday services, one a classical service with choir, grand piano and soloist, the most contemporary, with a complete organization of worship and singers.
