Mangotsfield Fire LIVE: Ten trucks with chimneys witness a huge chimney in a recycling center

At 10:50 a. m. , teams from Kingswood, Hicks Gate, Temple, Yate, Portishead, Southmead, Pill and Avonmouth were mobilised to report a chimney at a garbage sale on Carsons Road, Mangotsfield. Firefighters used two 45mm jets, two high-voltage reels and several thermal chambers to extinguish the chimney. The service drone was also used to check the gravity of the chimney. Enthusiasts of positive tension ventilation were used to release smoke from the building. Mechanical machines were used on site to extract the fabrics needed to extinguish the flames. The drone unit and the welfare unit went to the scene. The cause of the chimney place would be accidental. During the incident, local citizens were asked to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke in the area. This order was removed because the chimney went out.

Teams from Temple, Kingswood and Hicks Gate were called up at 10:50 a. m. m. to report a fire on Carsons Road, Mangotsfield.

Upon arrival, crews found a main chimney and other chimney trucks were mobilized toward crews at the scene. At 12:17, we have 8 chimney trucks on site.

Firefighters use high-pressure reels to extinguish the fire. The Service’s drone also flew in for crews to put out the fire.

We inspire local citizens to keep their doors and windows closed as there is a giant plume of smoke escaping from the fire.

We also continue to inspire other people to the domain whenever possible.

A huge chimney exploded at a recycling center in Mangotsfield this morning (May 17).

Residents were asked to keep their doors and windows closed while chimney crews from 8 Bristol stations watched the chimney at South Gloucestershire Council’s Sort It recycling centre.

A total of 10 chimney trucks, a drone unit and a welfare unit took part in the huge chimney on Carsons Road, the cause of which is believed to have been accidental.
