Dallas Mavericks All-Star goalkeeper Luka Doncic will play Sunday in the Game of the Mavs first-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Clippers, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium.
Doncic doubled his ankle in the third quarter of the Dallas third game’s loss to the Clippers on Friday, and his prestige for the fourth game is uncertain.
Even though Doncic returned in the final quarter of Game 3, he moved cautiously and had to be eliminated forever. The 21-year-old diagnosed with a sprained ankle.
Head coach Rick Carlisle said Doncic would “most likely” be a game time resolution for Game 4.
Doncic had 70 points, 15 rebounds and 16 assists in the first two games against the Clippers. Dallas won 127-114 in Game 2, behind the series 2-1.
Although he played 3 minutes in the final quarter of Game 3, Doncic still finished with a triple-double (13 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists).
During the normal season, Doncic recorded MVP caliber numbers with 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and 8.8 assists consistent with the game.
With the wonderful Kristaps Porzingis, Doncic makes the Mavs go away, and having him in the lineup for Game Four gives the team a massive boost, even if it’s not 100%.
