Google kicked off its annual Google I/O developer convention today with a two-hour keynote speech in which the only thing the company communicated was about AI, but there were plenty of AI features to communicate about.
In the short term, the Circle to Search feature, which is now available on 100 million Android devices, is helping academics solve “a diversity of physics and math problems,” and there will be more features later this year. But Google also promises to make its Gemini app for Android much more useful in the long run by adding the ability to “ask” questions about almost any content on the screen and adding “multimodality,” allowing the AI app to process. the video. voice input and other sounds, allowing you to communicate with Gemini, ask it what the camera is pointing at, and much more.
Here’s a look at the latest tech news on the web.
Google puts AI “at the heart of Android. “Gemini on Android will soon be able to work as an overlay on any app, allowing you to get answers to questions about documents, videos, and more. Microphone and camera input will also be available soon.
And while some of those new features are cloud-based, Google says some new features only use on-device processing, for privacy reasons. For example, there is a Gemini Nano feature that can pay attention to phone calls from unknown numbers and factor in a “probable scam” alert if it detects this phishing behavior. This happens entirely on your device, which means that the sound of your phone call is not sent to Google’s servers.
Google will begin rolling out a “Request Photos” feature for Google Photos in the coming months, which will allow you to ask questions like “show me the most productive photo of each and every national park I’ve visited” or “what topics do we search for?”Birthday parties?'”

Netflix is planning an updated edition of its apps for Windows 10 and 11 that will continue to allow you to stream videos and upload them to watch live events. . . But it possibly won’t allow you to download them for offline playback.
AYANEO’s first handheld gaming console with a Game Boy-like vertical design is on the way. Full details will be available on 18 May, but the company has released the first photo of the rear of the Pocket DMG.

Netflix continues its descent into the trash
So, what is the meaning of the Netflix app?
Wouldn’t it make more sense to just use your internet browser to view the content?
AI will succeed if it continues to impose it on people.
In fact, I’m curious why there’s more to it that doesn’t seem to be subtle. People get angry when a general user comes in and tries to offer them support that they are already comfortable and confident with; I can’t believe they would settle for an AI that did the same thing, but in a humiliating way.
This would be true if it weren’t for the fact that new people continue to train, despite all the efforts made to keep other people too busy, dismissive, and irritable to reproduce. If schools and parents are incredibly careful, and I doubt if they’re careful enough, we’re going to have a generation that will be characterized by relying on AI to perform some of the most rudimentary tasks. And probably, it will be done faster than any other without AI. If OpenAI still has the media presence it enjoys now, I think this would possibly not be perceived as a challenge at all by the general public.
Mdr, the same AIs that will tell you that the current year is 2021 and that 3 atomic bombs were dropped on Japan in World War II. The same AIs that a lawyer used and then got stuck because all the precedents were made up?
It looks like other people’s AI will be at the front of the pack.
AI is necessarily a conversational Google, you get accurate information, no.
They will be at the front of the pack because everyone will be even dumber at this point and the AI will be more accurate. Pure idiocy. Only the other people who will know the most are those who have been homeschooled, but at that point, everyone will be in burial grounds for their extremist perspectives and misconceptions.
Is this a volume wheel on the AYANEO Pocket DMG?! ?
