Jazz’s Rudy Gobert says NBA video enthusiasts remind him of ‘black mirror’

The NBA, to bring fans closer to the games when the season resumes on July 30, made an attractive comparison of the Utah Jazz medium, Rudy Gobert.

Speaking to reporters about the league’s use of video cards on all 3 host sites, Gobert believes it comes from Black Mirror:

“That may be one thing. It reminds me of Black Mirror,” he says. “I like the concept. It will be wonderful for families to look at us and know that we can see them in the stands.”

The NBA announced on Friday that it will host three hundred virtual gaming enthusiasts on the video cards it has put together:

Anyone who has seen the series knows that this is bad news when something in the genuine world makes a comparison to Black Mirror.

Until NBA video cards evolve from a new high-tech design capable of mapping all of our facial features to create the best carbon copy of our human form, it probably wouldn’t be exactly like the dystopian sci-fi series.
