The authorities of missing teenager Jay Slater have expanded their efforts to a new domain of Tenerife.
Jay Slater, 19, last noticed Monday morning in Teno National Rural Park after telling a friend he would be walking back to his house. Despite his fatigue and low phone battery, he embarked on the 11-hour adventure after missing his bus.
The search teams, now equipped with mountain rescue equipment, headed for a ravine in the Masca valley. This domain is located approximately one hundred meters below the rental assets where Jay was last seen.
Previously, the search pointed to the opposite side of the pass.
A source close to the search said: “The clusters are tall and low. It is a very rural and unforgiving domain, with mountainous terrain and many dangers. The goal is to continue until we find the child. “

A police helicopter was seen flying over the Masca Gorge today, while rescue teams, made up of Greim Mountain Rescue Service officers and sniffer dogs, continued their search.
Multi-agency operation also includes local firefighters and civil cover agents. Drones are also being used to aid in search efforts.
A source confirmed: “There is no question at this time to halt efforts to locate this missing man, let alone postpone them. The plan right now is to continue until they find him. “
“Officials are clearly prepared for the possibility of locating the body, but right now everyone is focused on the idea that he is still alive and that they can help him locate his family and friends. “

Jay’s mother, Debbie Duncan, travelled to Tenerife to help with the search last week. He made a public plea for help and expressed his misery by saying, “I just need my bathroom back. “
