Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey practices at his home in Tennessee.
He gave enthusiasts a sneak peek of his workouts in his garage weight room and workouts in a box in a 12-minute YouTube premiere. It was released Monday on the first day of the Dolphins’ offseason schedule.
“It’s wonderful to be self-taught. I do a lot of things on my own,” Ramsey told SI. com’s Omar Kelly. “I do it myself, but I definitely have a team behind me that’s helping me. “with me in everything I do. “
Ramsey, who doesn’t have any workout bonuses in his contract tied to his participation in the team’s voluntary offseason program, said he spends his offseason running based on strength, speed, agility and technique.
“They might not see me fighting anybody. I’m not competing against anybody on the field,” Ramsey said. “You’ll see me. . . “I’m trying to improve my craft. I like to put a functionality no matter what I’m doing.
Ramsey, who said it’s the first offseason in 3 years that he hasn’t recovered from an injury, looked at the Dolphins’ offseason schedule after the Rams industry in 2023 but only participated in education camp. Maybe that’s still his plan this year.
“Everybody’s going to see what I’m looking for in the offseason to get me at the most sensible level of my game where I need to be,” Ramsey said. “I’m very excited about this. This will be my first offseason like this since the year before the Super Bowl in Los Angeles. It’s one of the most productive years of my career.
