iPhone owners in the United States can get up to $500 in refund from Apple as a result of the so-called Batterygate scandal agreement.
The Batterygate case saw Apple hinder the functionality of some iPhone models to keep old phone batteries. Apple has never admitted to committing a crime, but is paying up to $500 million in a legal settlement to end the case.
This now means that owners of decided iPhone phones can get advantages from a discount, which could succeed at $500, although it is estimated at $25. These phones are:

Affected consumers do not have to participate in the program to claim a refund from Apple. The agreement makes it transparent that owners have the option to opt out of the agreement and take separate legal action against Apple.
Affected customers would also possibly also object to the settlement and ask to speak at the final hearing or file an objection to the legal fees in the case.
