iOS 18 dramatically accelerates iPhone 15 Pro Max’s neural processing

The iPhone 15 Pro Max’s hardware already represented a huge speed improvement over its predecessor, according to overall figures from Geekbench 6. Now, however, the first effects of the iPhone 15 Pro Max iOS 18 and more particularly its neural processing unit, have shown that the device can be even faster.

As first noted in a thread on X/Twitter, the numbers are strangely high, but they seem to show through a number of effects on the Geekbench website.

So, iOS 17. 5. 1, and again, particularly for Neural Engine processing, the iPhone 15 Pro Max got a Geekbench score of 6249. Apparently, the same device updated to iOS 18 got a score of 7816 on the same test.

Scores and specifications don’t easily translate into universal real-world scenarios. This is especially true when the scores refer only to the learning details of the device.

But it shows that iOS 18 optimizes the iPhone’s Neural Engine cores more than iOS 17.

The same source claims that the effects are even more dramatic compared to Geekbench’s text classification tests. The update to iOS 18 advanced with a result of 1,000%.

AppleInsider recommends that no one update to iOS 18 unless they have a business desire or have a spare iPhone.

Perhaps a mistake.

Wow! Apple Efficiency

I’ve discovered this, too. All of my neural processes on my iPhone seem to process faster, even when I recommend text when typing messages and directional recommendations based on the places I frequent. I think the explanation for why Apple Intelligence in beta 1 is that they may have installed the backend engine to index a total of data before looking us out for verification. But I see a big difference.

If the Geekbench score is based on the temporality of a procedure. . . Treated, ten, the operative formula may have many things to do. If the operative formula is intended to be avoided, then WTF is falling here?

For the 15 pro maxArray, what about the 15 pro? I keep reading that Apple Intelligence will be effective on an iPhone 15 Pro or the new 16 Pro models.
