iOS 18.2 can ghostwrite all your emails, essays, and more with Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence’s first features in iOS 18. 1 included a variety of typing devices, but iOS 18. 2, iPadOS 18. 2, and macOS Sequoia 15. 2 have expanded those devices in two main ways, adding a rugged update that can write for you. probably free.

In iOS 18.2, users get to benefit from Apple’s new partnership with OpenAI in two ways:

Compose is a powerful addition to the existing Apple Intelligence writing tools, which provide systemwide assistance in virtually any app you’re using.

Some Apple apps, such as Notes and Mail, have dedicated toolbar buttons to access writing tools. But even if it is some other application, you can locate them in the Copy/Paste menu. Just tap anywhere in a text box to access that menu.

You’ll find Compose at the bottom of the writing tools panel. It enables ChatGPT to draft original text for you based on your instructions.

Previously, Apple’s writing team could only rewrite, revise, or format existing text. But now, thanks to the ChatGPT integration, it can be ghost text from scratch.

Just tap the Compose button, tell ChatGPT what you need, and it will get to work crafting original text to match your request.

After ChatGPT supplies its first draft, it can supply commands to refine the draft or request a complete rewrite. ChatGPT even provides tips for adjustments that can be made.

You can, optionally, upgrade to ChatGPT Plus to get access to more advanced models, but it’s entirely unnecessary.

Whether you’re writing an email, a text message, or even an essay, Apple Intelligence’s new composition tool should be had anywhere you want.

There is an update of the writing equipment in iOS 18. 2: the option to “describe your change” for a personalized rewriting of the user interface.

In iOS 18. 1, Apple Intelligence can perform a rewrite on your existing text, where it seeks to maintain your existing writing style. It can also be rewritten in one of 3 default styles:

To all teenagers who read this, do not use AI to write their essays. I know that essays can be frustrating and complicated (especially when procrastinas as I have done), but the challenge is what helps you learn. Writing your own words and then using your teacher’s comments to improve yourself will help you much more in the long term than letting AI write things for you. If you need to be in a global position and prepare for technological advances in the future, expand your own brain and your non -public skills to make you invaluable.

But if none of those features get the effects you want, iOS 18. 2 adds a new option.

Available in the most sensible writing equipment panel, there is a domain of describing your change “where you can enter the express commands for the desired rewriting. The intelligence of the application then reaches the paintings about revisions that will make the trick.

Apple’s original set of writing equipment in iOS 18. 1 nice, however, those 18. 2 updates greatly expand the usefulness of AI. For many people, a blank screen with a blinking cursor is incredibly intimidating, making the composition tool a genuine asset. And I have a genuine asset. had combined reports with rewrites before, so the ability to define express settings is a forged upgrade.

Have you used any of the new writing devices in iOS 18. 2?How did they paint you? Let us know in the comments.
