IndyCar Job Portal Remains Open

Six months after its launch, the NTT IndyCar series online task portal continues to meet its goal by connecting task seekers to their paddock.

The volume of earned shows has slowed a bit since the site’s launch in November, but six months later, IndyCar President Jay Fry says the portal remains a vital resource for job seekers and promising talent pools.

“I think each and every team has used it at some point and some say they’re looking for new applications that have arrived,” Frye told RACER.

Ed Carpenter Racing team president Tim Broyles said the new addition to the team was a real success.

“The portal is a wonderful idea,” he said. It is very difficult to locate the right people. It is more difficult to locate other people who need to work in the careers and locating the mix of young people and having fun is even more difficult. We rented that he implemented through the portal while attending a vocational school, and if I could find five more like him, I would rent them today.

If there has been a small disadvantage with the portal, it is the lack of fun or style that groups are looking for. Each team told RACER they were the portal, but in most cases they continued to wait for applicants who can just dive deep. Of the application loads and loads, a modest number have reached the interview phase.

“The guy we hired is 21 years old; lately he’s making spoilers and bodywork for us, but he’s taken over the mechanical aspect of things. We put him in the pit team to replace a tyre, and he’s going up. “quickly,” Broyles said. We hope to locate more people through the portal with mechanical features that we can expand immediately. “
