Indonesian mother fireplace to feed baby dish with 25 chili peppers in TikTok video

Parents are encouraged to include fiber in their child’s daily meals.

Unfortunately for a toddler, his mother went too far to give him a vegetable stir-fry stuffed with about 25 chilies while documenting his reaction on TikTok, just for the views.

The boy burst into tears when his mother recorded the moment.

The Indonesian uploaded the video to her non-public TikTok account, Ceooppakalteng03, on Tuesday, May 24.

“Try kelakai sayur (Sautéed Lemidi) which was made with 25 peppers. Adults may sweat while eating this dish, not to mention babies. Her mother is amazing,” the woman wrote in the TikTok video, referring to herself in the 3rd person.

Lemidi is an edible fern discovered in central Sumatra.

Ceooppakalteng03 gave his son a single stem of the vegetable dish and after a few bites, the heat of the peppers hit him and he began to cry.

The red peppers used in this dish are known as Capsicum Annuum and have a Scoville Thermal Unit (SHU) from 0 to more than 800, according to HRSeeds, an online site about ancient seeds.

Although hot peppers with a HUS of 0 to 2,000 are considered sweet, it is not a food to feed a baby.

Ceooppakalteng03 disabled the comments of the video, suggesting that there are many negative comments.

Annoying netizens made their opinion known by leaving comments on their TikTok videos.

“Just to laugh, you feed your child very spicy food. What a clever thought,” one of them wrote in Bahasa Indonesia.

In November 2021, a Singaporean mother also gave her young son very spicy food and posted it online.

There was much less fury online after her two-year-old baby slightly raised an eyebrow while swallowing very spicy Ramen from Samyang like a champion.
