Honeywell has brought a cutting-edge solution called Cyber Watch for organizations to address evolving operational generation (OT) cyber threats. This generation aims for leaders and staff to identify, confront, and manage those threats well.
“From the plant manager to the CISO, we are all a line of defense opposed to the next cyberattack. No company needs to make headlines as the next victim of a ransomware attack. We know that hackers have been waiting, for months, if not years, to strike,” said Kevin Dehoff, president and CEO of Honeywell Connected Enterprise. “Our industry-leading technology, subsidized through Honeywell’s deep expertise in critical infrastructure, is designed to enable leaders and staff to prevent an attack before it happens, from detection to remediation to response.
According to a 2023 report by Forrester Research, nearly three-quarters of organizations have reported one or more knowledge breaches in the past year. In addition, there is a significant 140% year-over-year increase in attacks on commercial organizations.
“Understanding vulnerabilities and gaining insights at the point of business will enable faster, better-informed decisions to better protect against cyberattacks, reduce potential downtime, and create a safer environment for our employees,” said Chase Carpenter, chief security officer, Honeywell.
Cyber Watch is a component of the Honeywell Forge Cybersafety suite, unveiled this week at the Honeywell Connect event, focused on software responses for commercial enterprises. This suite is designed to identify security weaknesses in an organization’s OT configuration by providing insight into vulnerabilities, configuration issues, and compliance issues at the site and business level, for the purpose of overall security.
This new solution aims to strengthen defense against cyber threats and improve the resilience of organizations to protect against potential cyberattacks and data breaches.
