Hunt Midwest to Build 1. 5 Million Square Foot Support Center for Ace Hardware in Kansas City Market

Hunt Midwest will build a 1. 5 million-foot traditional structure facility for Ace Hardware Corporation at the Kansas City-based real estate company’s new 3,300-acre megasite, KCI 29 Logistics Park in the Kansas City, Missouri, market.

The new Ace Retail Support Center will be the first construction at KCI 29 Logistics Park, Missouri’s largest contiguous retail site ready to begin. The park is adjacent to the new terminal at Kansas City International Airport, $1. 5 billion.

At 1. 5 million square feet, the facility will be Kansas City’s largest distribution medium across the structure’s footprint and is about twice the length of the average Ace retail medium. The allocation is expected to create 350 new jobs and is expected to be fully operational by 2025.

ACE Kansas City’s new Retail Support Center will feature technology, automation and warehouse control systems. The transfer facility will feature 286 dock gates, 4 front doors, 40 feet of headroom, 383 berths for trucks and trailers and approximately 400 parking spaces for vehicles. The large roof will also feature the Ace Hardware logo, visual for the approximately 12 million passengers entering and departing KCI Airport each year.
