The Patriots had an 8-9 record last season, not making the playoffs so far since 2019. Bill Belichick has hired former Texans coach Bill O’Brien to be New England’s new offensive coordinator and quarterback coach, so he’ll be attractive to see his effect on the team, though he may not feel much in the offseason.
The Texans finished with a modest 3-13-1 record last season, the second-worst record in the NFL. They had the defense ranked 30th and the offense ranked 31st in the league, and they have several new faces on the staff, led by a new coach and rookie quarterback.
