If you missed out on guaranteed access to Overwatch 2 beta via Twitch Drops last week, all is lost. You have some other chance of succeeding.
The Overwatch League returns this week and will offer 1,500 beta keys every hour of streaming. This means that another 31,500 people can access the RRP of overwatch 2.
Here’s how to prepare ahead of time and increase your chances of this first beta.
First of all, there are some rules, given that this is a draw. You can read them in full here, however, to be eligible, you will need to be 18 years of age or older. You’ll also want to be in the United States, United Kingdom, France, South Korea, or Canada (unfortunately, people from Quebec are not eligible).
Remember that the beta edition is for PC. There will be other betas coming with console players.
It’s worth checking if your PC will be able to run the beta version of Overwatch 2. You can find the minimum and formula specifications here:
If you don’t already have one, want a Battle. net account. A license for the original Overwatch game is required to play the Overwatch 2 beta. However, Blizzard says those who don’t already have one will have access to a trial edition. of Overwatch for the duration of the beta.
Next, you want to attach your Battle. net account to your YouTube account. You can do this by setting the Battle. net option on the connected apps page of YourTube settings.
I advise you to do all of this before the OWL opening weekend games start at 3 p. m. ET on Thursday, May 5 to give you more opportunities to enter the beta. You can also attach your accounts when a delivery is in progress by clicking or tapping the Rewards icon below OWL’s YouTube stream.
Well, once you’ve connected your accounts, you’re good to go. Now all you have to do is watch the pros play Overwatch 2 for the first time in the Overwatch League. There are much worse things you can do.
You can watch live streams on the overwatch League’s official English, French, or Korean channels. There are 21 consistent access periods (one consistent with the time) on the OWL opening weekend, each providing 1,500 Overwatch 2 beta codes. You want to watch one hour of streaming to gain access, and you will only be eligible at the end of the hour you watched; entries will not be postponed.
The accesses are between those schedules:
All entries will be subject to random draws that will take place around May 9. If selected, you’ll receive an email within 24 hours, so you may not know until Tuesday.
This means being able to play the first beta for about a week, as it is expected to end on May 17. Again, there will be more beta testing later.
You can enter sweepstakes without watching overwatch League live streams. Send an email to OWLBeta@teamdigital. com with the subject line “OWL Beta Sweepstakes Entry. “You must enter with your first and last name, date of birth, jurisdiction of the apartment and username/battletag Battle. net. You will get a participation in the draw through this method.
That said, there’s another explanation for why attach your Battle. net account to YouTube and watch Overwatch League live streams. You will also get OWL tokens. You can use them to purchase OWL team masks and other masks of the year.
You will usually earn five tokens consistent with OWL’s live streaming hour during the season. You can win twice as many chips in those opening matches of the weekend (times are approximate):
