Canonical released its Ubuntu Developer Preview for phones and provided an approach for audiences to preview the platform on their non-public Nexus devices. After almost two hours of searching for paintable on my MacBook Air, I turned to someone for help. I was directed to the developers of xda, where I learned that the flashable photographs are hosted on the Ubuntu site.
The instructions, however, were a bit rare, especially for those who are not familiar with Android’s global modding. If you are wondering how to install Ubuntu on your Nexus 4, look no further.

You will also want to install and configure ADB (Android Debug Bridge) on your computer and the bootloader of your device wants to be unlocked (save first!) Once those two things are over, you’ll be able to get started.
