I’m not very smart with Linux, however, I looked to install Linux to be more informed. But when I read the installation manual, I found it to be difficult. Then I discovered this little program called Wubi Ubuntu Installer.
Wubi is an officially supported installer for Windows users that makes installing and uninstalling Ubuntu simple and secure, just like any other Windows application. It’s like installing any program on your Windows. No you need to be a computer genius to install it. If you need to remove it, just uninstall it from the Control Panel and you’re good to go. Install Ubuntu on Windows with the Wubi Ubuntu installer.
Step 1:
Download Wubi from the Ubuntu website.
Step 2:
Run the program and get this screen:
Step 3:
Select the drive you want to install. Then, the size of the installation, i. e. how much you want to spend on your Linux disk. Then, the desktop environment, i. e. the one you want to install.
Stage 4:
Then enter the username and password you need to use to log in to your Linux installation. Once you’re done, click install and you’re done. The program will download Ubuntu Linux from and install it. The length is approximately 700 MB. .
Once complete, you’ll be taken to the Ubuntu login screen.
