Herman Cain’s Twitter account said Covid-19 “isn’t as deadly” as he claimed, a few weeks after the Republican presidential nominee died of the virus.
The Conservative businessman died in July of the virus after spending weeks in critical condition.
Cain’s Twitter account continued to be published several times a day after his death, most commonly in percentage articles in the dubious Western Journal, one of which served as the basis for Monday’s coronavirus claim.
“It turns out that the virus is not as fatal as the mainstream media suggested,” reads in the tweet, referring to a Western Journal article about a recent knowledge publication from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The CDC statement found that in 6% of coronavirus deaths in the United States, Covid-19 was the only factor, a fact that was highlighted by American skeptics of the virus, who reported the opposite 94% figure to recommend that the virus was irrelevant.in these deaths, it is indexed as a cause along with other fitness problems.
The Western Journal was discovered last year in a New York Times investigation that was blacklisted through Apple News, the tech giant’s news aggregator, after generating articles that sold “extremely rejected perspectives through the clinical community.”The site in the past had been blacklisted through Google News so it was considered deceptive business practices.
The site’s founder, Floyd Brown, has a long history of conspiracy theories trafficking, adding a notorious 2008 electoral crusader attack that questioned whether then-presidential candidate Barack Obama was secretly Muslim and claimed that Hungarian-American financier George Soros “is making plans to ruin the U.S. economy.” , enrich yourself with billions of dollars and put Obama in the White House.”
Cain’s daughter, Melanie Cain Gallo, announced after the employer’s death that her social media team and family circle would continue to manage her Twitter account.
“We made the decision here at Cain headquarters that we would continue to use this platform for percentage of the data and concepts he believed in. He would communicate on the existing site once he was in a position to move away from it. We were hoping he’d enjoy reading it when he retired, but he made it clear he wanted to continue,” Gallo said.
The Cain Gang, as the account call, made headlines in August after suggesting that Joe Biden’s presidential bid would be “completely crazy” the day Kamala Harris announced as the Democratic nominee’s running mate.
“The Cain Gang is made up of other writers who have their own reviews. We’re fine, but we’re also individuals. Each piece reflects this writer’s criticism. That’s how Herman sought to make it work,” the account posted after several news reports. media collected in the tweet.
