Helen Skelton controlled to irritate some rugby enthusiasts when she returned to the performance after parting ways with her ex-husband Richie Myler.
Helen, 38, showed that she and rugby star Leeds Rhinos Richie had split on their Instagram page last month, some time after the announcement.
Richie, 31, has since been shown to be dating Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of the billionaire chairman of Leeds Rhinos.
Helen has since been tasked with Adam Hills, channel 4’s rugby league presenter, lately in Australia.
He made his screen debut in Saturday’s clash between Hull KR and Catalan Dragons.
While much of the audience was delighted to see Helen take over the roles of hostess, not everyone agreed with some Hull KR enthusiasts who struggled to take care of some of their presentation skills.
Helen rarely called the club Hull instead of her full nickname, which angered enthusiasts who feared being with rivals Hull F. C.
The concerned audience took to Twitter to express frustration at the mistake.
One of them wrote: “Please ask Helen Skelton to say Hull KR, Hull !!!!!Very upset for a Hull KR supporter. “
Another added: “Stop calling Hull KR Hull, it’s Rovers. Hull FC is Hull. Accidentally upset to Hull rugby enthusiasts on both sides!Hull faces Wigan this afternoon, but you pit Rovers against the Catalans!”
However, not everything was so bad for Helen with many enthusiasts who came to the social network to congratulate her.
One fan posted: “It’s seeing helen Skelton continue to present Rugby League on Channel 4. “
Another viewer congratulated her: “I’m sure it can’t be easy for her given the latest developments, but she still does a wonderful job because she’s a high-quality professional. “
A third burst out: “I love @HelenSkelton! Fantastic presenter and passionate about our ace game. “
Helen and Richie share children Ernie, six, and Louis, four, and Elsie, five months.
In it after their separation, he wrote: “Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He left the circle of relatives at home. We will do our best to raise our young children. “
