Microsoft’s Edge browser, in a very short time, has one of the favorite browsers for users looking for Chrome-like features in a browser while wanting it to be lightweight and less resource-intensive. The fact that Edge is now the default browser in all new Windows installations has helped the browser gain ground.
Because it’s based on the Chromium open source platform, the Edge browser keeps Chrome’s smart features to the maximum, such as installing Microsoft Store add-ons. Further, as this will soon allow users to install chrome-designed extensions, this will only make the browser more versatile.
However, Microsoft added a touch to the story. After the recent update, the company will not allow users to uninstall the Windows operational formula from the Edge browser, or at least easily.
According to an announcement on the Microsoft website, “The new edition of Microsoft Edge gives users full control over the non-public knowledge import of the previous edition of Microsoft Edge.” The new edition of Microsoft Edge is included in a Windows formula update. Therefore, the option to uninstall it or use the previous edition of Microsoft Edge will no longer be available. »
Although the company states that “the new edition of Microsoft Edge provides users in general with the import of non-public knowledge of the legacy edition of Microsoft Edge”, in fact it does not give the user enough strength to seamlessly remove bloatware.
There is no doubt that the new Microsoft Edge is a much more attractive and useful browser than its predecessors that were basically used to “download Chrome or other browsers”, however, do not give the option to use the browser of your selection possibly will not pass well with users and will probably oppose the logic of products built on an open source basis.
While there are third-party computers that allow you to uninstall any application from your computer, however, this would require users to download and install third-party software that the trusted and built-in tool. Most users have their favorite browser based on their usage instances and users who use gadgets with resources that do not allow the installation of multiple browsers will be most affected by Microsoft’s resolution to force faster adoption of Edge.
