Google users in India can now create virtual cards in Google search

Google has introduced its “People Cards” to users in India.

This feature allows users to create virtual business cards themselves that can be displayed when other people search for users on Google.

“If you are a professional, an artist or need to expand your own online presence, you can have an online page, social profiles and other data spread across many sites. If you’re just getting started, you may not have an online page or an online presence,” explained Lauren Clark, product manager, Google Search, in an official blog post.

“We solve those demanding situations with a new feature called People Cards. It’s like a virtual business card, where you can highlight your social or existing profiles that you need other people to visit, as well as other information about you that you need others to know,” Clark said.

Users can create those maps from their Google Account. They can search for your call when they’re connected to your Google Account. From there, you have to click “add me to the search” and press the spark that appears.

Users can come with the demo symbol of their Google Account with a description, links to their social profiles and, if they wish, a phone number or email for their business card.

Google will accept a card in accordance with your Google Account card. Users will want a phone number to authenticate.

“We have a series of safeguards that oppose abusive users or spam, and if you find poor quality data or a card that you believe was created through an impersonator, you can tap the comment link to let us know. If you no longer need your touch card to appear in the search, you can delete it at any time,” Clark said.

When a user searches for another user who has a map available, they’ll see a module with the name, profession, and location. They can then access the additional data discussed on the map through emergencies. For others who share the same name, users will see modules to help them locate the user they’re looking for.

The feature is available to Indian users looking for mobile phones. The feature will be implemented in English from today.
