Google’s Danny Sullivan also quells some speculation that this issue specifically targeted particular sites.

“Today’s challenge has affected sites that represent a lot of content and other vision issues,” Sullivan said in a separate tweet.

The story goes on below:

Lately there is a challenge with the “site:” command in Google search that would possibly not demonstrate the indexed content of a site.

Google’s Danny Sullivan confirms the issue is being investigated, along with any other potential issues related to the ‘site:’ command not working.

We are aware of a challenge with the site: a command that would possibly not demonstrate some or all of the indexed pages of a website. We are investigating this factor and any potentially similar challenges.

The “site:” command is designed for users to locate all pages in a site that contain an express word or phrase.

It is a command that is commonly used through referers to perform tasks, but the command can be used through anyone.

If you use the “site:” command to search for content on your own site, be aware that all or part of the content, which is well indexed, may not be found.

This is not a challenge with the Google index, it is a challenge with the command itself.

Recently discovered content with the “site:” command can still be displayed with other queries.

At least that’s true from what we know right now.

After Google’s research, there may be other similar issues, but let’s not worry before doing so.

This is a story.

Updates to this article will be made as more data becomes available.
