Google G Suite’s productivity suffered a four-hour outage on Thursday afternoon.
The disorders started around 3:30 p.m. and first of all it only affected Gmail and Google Drive.
However, it soon became apparent that the disorders were deeper than we thought, as other services, such as Docs, Slides, Sites, Groups, Chat, Meet, Keep and Voice, joined the victims list.
Google called the challenge “Gmail email sending challenges, registration challenges, creating Drive log challenges, CSV user upload challenges in the Admin console, message posting challenges in Google chat, challenges of adding new pages to sites, permanence challenges, and voicemail issues.”
You didn’t specify what the Array root cause said at 7:40 p.m. – approximately 4 hours after outages begin – that the solution begins to happen “for some users”.
“We expect a solution for all users in the near future,” he said, adding that the delay “is an estimate and could change.”
