Google this week opened its newest hardware in Taiwan for the progression of the Pixel, Fitbit and Nest.
This moment is located on TPark’s campus in New Taipei City. The first opened in 2021, and plans and progression for this new construction were already underway at the time.
Reflecting the company’s commitment, it has capacity for “thousands of Google employees” with “new engineering and hardware development labs. “A video posted via Google shows a camera for a Pixel pill and its docking station. The new construction and labs will allow our AI and device engineering groups to continue to advance hardware design and studies to deliver AI devices that other people use every day.
From a design point of view, this construction has 240 solar panels with batteries “on” to store what is generated. Wastewater is also treated and there is a rainwater harvesting system.
Outside of the U. S. , Taiwan is Google’s largest hardware engineering hub, with offices in five cities. Google opened its first site in 2006 and has “grown 20 times in the last 10 years. “Taiwan is also home to knowledge centers, a Google Cloud Region, and a solar park.
