Google today shared information about the updates it’s making to the drive bar (or search bar) on mobile devices and the internet, and those updates are aimed at making it easier to find the online page you’re looking for.
When you make a typo while typing a URL, Chrome can stumble upon the typo and show you suggestions for sites you might need to make a stop based on sites you’ve visited before. Chrome is also smarter at auto-completing URLs and completing suggestions. founded on sites it has stopped at in the past.
If, for example, you’ve already visited https://www. google. com/travel/flights, you just want to type in “flights” and Google will show you this page online as a recommended visit. Typo-correcting features are now available on desktops and iOS, while the autocomplete update is limited to desktops for now.
Chrome now lets you search for your favorites folders from the address bar and will recommend very popular sites even if you’ve never visited them, whether they’re features available on desktop and mobile. Finally, Chrome on desktop features an improved visual interface. design that provides faster reaction times and makes the address bar easier to read.
