Google Ads fails others over cryptographic scams

Users of the Uniswap decentralized exchange may be compromised thanks to a new Google ad.

“URGENT WARNING TO ALL PEOPLE USING UNISWAP,” BitBoy, the cryptocurrency influencer and YouTuber, said in an August tweet.

Marking Google’s Twitter accounts, he added:

According to BitBoy, entering a Google search for “UniSwap” returns an ad link as one of the first results. “When you click on this ad, it will take you to a site that looks like Uniswap, but will ask you for the initial prayer of your wallet,” the influencer said in his tweet.

Access to that security word then impacts the theft of the budget from related storage. Uniswap smote one of BitBoy’s compatriots for $30,000, the influencer said.

Uniswap’s fake site is also not the first destructive effort to override Google’s oversight. Several classified ads and fake videos have given the impression on YouTube, Google’s subsidiary. Such videos inspire the audience to send cryptocurrencies to a front as they promise to obtain more cryptocurrencies that will be returned to them, a centuries-old cryptographic fraud maneuver.

Meanwhile, many valid cryptographic YouTubers have been making their movements and account bans since December 2019.
