FARGO: A self-spending app like “UBER to do laundry” gives locals like Annie Rumohr a new way to make extra money.
Residents who download the SudShare app can ask a “sudster” like Rumohr to pick up their clothes, wash and double them, and return them to their door the next day. The fee is $1 per pound.
Rumohr started the app in October after searching online for new painting opportunities.
“I had done part of the food delivery. That’s fine, but it’s not wonderful for me. I wondered what else there was and it happened. I thought, ‘I can do laundry,'” he said.
She said orders were slow at first, however, they are recovering as more and more people are informed that they are available here.
