A new report says that the Samsung Galaxy S25 series lacks an Android protection capacity that Google wants to make mandatory in all the new devices that run android 15 and more.

Android Mishaal Rahman Skilled recently reported that Samsung Galaxy S25 smartphones seem to take care of the advanced Android virtualization frame (AVF), which leaves them incompatible with secure complex features such as the next Android Linux terminal application.
AVF, brought to Android 13, allows your device to create secure remote virtual machines running a mini version of Android called microdoidea. These virtual machines can execute code in an environment with limited access to hardware and sensitive knowledge from a smartphone. Conversely, AVF can protect the execution code from malicious programs on the host device.
Samsung’s KNOX solution, KNOX, reproduces many AVF protection advantages, such as the separation of delicate knowledge and biometry from the rest of the Android operating system.
However, Google’s new Android Linux Terminal app takes it a step further, allowing you to run an entire Linux operating formula on a virtual machine. This can allow Android Gadgets to run Linux graphics apps as Chrome OS already can.
Rahman claims that the Galaxy S25 Series hardware should be capable of running AVF. Rival devices like the recently released OnePlus 13 support AVF using the same Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset as Samsung. However, Samsung has chosen not to.
According to a previous report by Rahman, at least 361 Android devices of various brands already AVF. However, no Samsung gadgets is among them, despite Google’s declared objective to make the AVF mandatory in the future.
The AVF architecture ensures protection through code with an environment.
The new Android Linux terminal app will likely be introduced with Android 16, so it will be attractive to see if Samsung adds AVF in an 8 UI later this year.
While homeowners of the Max Galaxy S25 series arguably won’t miss the AVF, it would be unfortunate for a flagship device like the Galaxy S25 Ultra to miss out on apps that must be widely had on third-party devices.
I reached out to Samsung for comment on this and will report back with all updates.

Mishaal Rahman controlled to manage the 1993 vintage game Doom on the new edition of the Android Linux terminal, which he hopes to release in a long-term Android update. Although the call for this 31-year-old shooter is low, Rahman’s feat demonstrates a difficult new capability that many new Android devices, with the exception of Samsung, will one day do.
Chrome OS users can install and run a variety of desktop Linux apps, including LibreOffice and GIMP, a free-to-use alternative to Adobe Photoshop. Rahman wasn’t able to run GIMP with the current version of the Android Linux Terminal but is confident that your Android device will one day be able to run desktop Linux apps just as well as Chromebook.
The Android Linux terminal must only be taken as an android 15 QPR2 beta and later, and the control of accelerated graphics in the device can be only in the new AOSP constructions, which must be compiled manually and flashed in Your device. However, we can expect those new Linux terminal features to take position with compatible devices.
However, Samsung gadgets will not be able to execute those Linux programs unless the company makes the decision to make an AVF rate.
