This week in Las Vegas, tech companies from all over the world are setting up camp to show off all their latest products, including gear we’ve been waiting months and months to see debut. Well, maybe “all” isn’t quite right, as at least one of the biggest names in smartphones has a habit of keeping its lineup of next-gen handsets waiting in the wings for a few more weeks before they can take the spotlight, all by themselves — we’re talking about Samsung Galaxy Unpacked, and today the company finally goes official with the details surrounding its next launch event.
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series will set the tone for 2025 hardware, and while we were hoping for a launch early in the year, all we’ve had so far are rumors. These included a leak claiming that Unpacked would be released on January 22. In the weeks since, we haven’t heard any theories about the choice, and today Samsung will let us know that the rumors were true all along, as demonstrated by the company’s Galaxy Unpacked for January. 22 in San Jose, California.
Android Authority will be in San Jose to bring you a never-before-seen look at all the hardware Samsung can show off. In addition to the specific values of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra, there are also some shots of different lengths that can be recorded for them on stage. These come with everything from the Project Moohan Android XR headphones to the slimmed down Galaxy S25 Slim. It’s unlikely either will be released, but we might at least get a chance to see it in action.
As for you, you’ll be able to sing along and watch it all live, as Samsung plans to run its ads on its own online page or via Samsung’s YouTube channel.
