FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Artificial intelligence is making its way into many areas of our lives.

That’s why Fresno State is now offering an AI in Business certificate to prepare academics for the jobs of the future.

Stephen Choi, a business professor at Fresno State, teaches courses on synthetic intelligence.

But now he’s running a new AI in business certification program in hopes of preparing academics for long-term jobs.

“There isn’t a single industry or giant corporation that isn’t investing a large portion of its financial resources into this technology,” Choi said.

The program is open to all Fresno State students, regardless of major, and is open to any network member with a four-year degree.

AI courses for companies on the application of AI to solve business problems, particularly the analysis of giant monetary knowledge sets and service platforms for construction visitors.

To get the certificate, you’ll need to complete the required 15 units, and Choi says this data will be invaluable to entrepreneurs.

“There’s a business problem here, we were solving it with Excel and other statistical tools. Now we have AI, so how can we solve this business problem, more successfully, faster and more accurately with the AI approach?” said Choi.

Choi says academics and network members deserve to learn now to have an edge.

Choi will hold two online workshops on synthetic intelligence in the coming weeks.

“Part I: Introduction to AI” will take place from 8:30 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. on October 27.

“Part II: AI algorithms using Python” will take place from 8:30 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. on November 3.

Part one will cost $150 and part II will cost $200. Participants can also register for any of the workshops for $300, a $50 discount.

Fresno State students and faculty will get a $25 reduction on workshop registration.

Both workshops will be presented in person at the University Business Center and online Zoom.
