FREE NFL 2020 Agents: Rumors, Predictions for Jadeveon Clowney, Devonta Freeman

The start of the 2020 NFL regular season is in 3 weeks, but loose agent Jadeveon Clowney’s defensive end is not yet signed. First, the triple Pro Bowler was thought of as one of the most productive players in this year’s class of loose agents, however, it has noticed a limited market at this time.

The 27-year-old’s fitness has been part of the challenge as he faced a sports hernia in 2019. Due to NFL restrictions on players and visits, groups were unable to have it for previous medical evaluations in the off-season.

Another challenge is price. NBC Sports’ Peter King recently told 104.5 The Zone’s The Midday 180 that Clowney is not in a position to play for less than $15 million this season.

This creates a pretty big challenge for Clowney, as only 15 groups have $15 million left on the roof area, according to Spotrac. According to Charles Robinson of Yahoo Sports, the market for him may get worse.

“After speaking to a multitude of resources that took part in a Clowney lawsuit, his suitors seem to be declining that developing,” Robinson wrote.

According to Robinson, the Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders and Seattle Seahawks are interested in the South Carolina product, but at their current price.

The Seahawks have the highest common sense in this group, as Clowney spent last season with the team and may improve in defense in a short time. However, lately they have less than $12 million in ceiling space.

Tennessee has nearly $20 million in ceiling area and is the only team in this organization that can surpass the $15 million mark. Although the Titans don’t pay much, they can succeed in a deal if Clowney is willing to lower his value to be in the box a little bit this season.

Prediction: Clowney with Tennessee.

Devonta Freeman

Former Atlanta Falcons racer Devonta Freeman is one of the other players left on the open market.

While the 28-year-old had a small problem, he missed 14 games in 2018 and averaged 3.6 yards consistent with the race last year, he is a double Pro Bowler and able to double the threat.

Freeman recently told SiriusXM NFL Radio that he is looking to land with a winner.

“I have to earn so much. I have to be with guys to win with,” he said.

The protective champion of the NFC East Philadelphia Eagles may be offering Freeman the opportunity he’s looking for. They won the Super Bowl just three seasons ago and have dreamed of the playoffs in each of the last 3 years.

Eagles can also use an additional intensity to reverse after the Miles Sanders opener suffered a lower body injury. It’s week-to-week, according to Kevin Patra of NFL.com.

While freeman doesn’t seem to miss the normal season, it would make sense for Philadelphia to raise veteran insurance to that position.

However, the Florida state product would possibly not be the right veteran for the Eagles. Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said earlier in the off-season that Freeman was looking for a lot of money, more than the Buccaneers were willing to spend.

The Arrianos about the incorporation of Devonta Freeman: if it is worth it. It requires a lot of cash and we don’t have much cash.

Philadelphia sees Sanders as a staunch defender and probably wouldn’t need to pay his emergency money to begin. That, of course, could replace if Sanders’ injury made him miss regular-season games. The Eagles have more than $21 million in ceiling space.

For now, expect the Eagles to look for a less expensive alternative.

Prediction: Freeman signals with Philadelphia.
