Mozilla is releasing a major update to its Firefox Internet browser for Android devices. In fact, Firefox 79 is the first solid edition since the release of Firefox 68 last summer, making it a year of updates.
The user interface has been changed with a tab bar on the back of the screen instead of the more sensitive one and grouping multiple tabs into “collections”. There is a voice search of the face bar. And Mozilla’s enhanced tracking coverage is set by default to strict mode.
But if you’ve used an earlier edition of Firefox for Android and used it for third-party add-ons, you may need to disable automatic updates… Because Firefox 79 is only a handful of add-ons.
In fact, as Android Police is released at the end of July 2020, nine add-ons are supported:
Mozilla says more plugins will be supported in the future. But Firefox 68 supported literally thousands of third-party add-ons, meaning that the “update” to the latest edition of Firefox may simply remove features for some users.
This is no wonder for those who monitor the progression of the open source Internet browser. Mozilla tested many of the settings built into Firefox 79 in Firefox Preview and Beta browsers that were to be available as separate downloads. But now that those settings are being incorporated into the solid edition of Firefox, it means that more users are very likely to get advantages from all the new features… and have extensions and other seriously limited add-ons.

The main sources of benefits of Liliputing are advertising and associated links (if you click the “Buy” button on the most sensitive part of the page and buy something on Amazon, for example, we will get a small commission).
But there are many tactics to directly access the site, even if you are using an ad blocker and hate online shopping.

Friend, Android Firefox 79 is completely unusable, the control bars are on the back and when you need to type, it turns on, it’s horrible. I can’t see the favorites, it’s very unlikely to load on the home page. Kids or women who constantly replace Firefox from one edition to another will have to be low-level interns with no user interface who revel because it’s incredibly bad.
My pill went up to 79 yesterday. I’ve been using Firefox from the beginning, but now I’m seriously thinking about using some other default browser. I am not an expert in wonderful computer technology and I can only comment on how I locate things, not in a very technical way. Negative problems (for me): No front or rear yetton compromised. You’ll have to use the back button on the pills. To advance, press the 3 points, then a forward arrow appears. Therefore, you should click twice and not once, which slows down browsing. Open tabs are not displayed when you browse. You want to press a button that then opens another page that contains its tabs. Again, it is more delicate, less convenient and slows down navigation. It’s slower. Every morning, I check various email accounts and my mobile phone account. It usually takes about ten minutes. This morning, about 25 minutes, I had to use another browser to verify the phone account because Firefox was not loading the page. One of the main Internet sites I use is the online edition of a newspaper. The way the new Firefox now makes the page almost unreadable, which is not so smart when looking to read a newspaper. Ads now look like each and every few lines of text, never before. I also had trouble logging into my registration account, but I had no problems using another browser. All in all, for me, Firefox is now almost unusable. I have the idea of moving to an earlier edition, but Mozilla’s online page says it’s not imaginable to degrade it. Maybe I deserve to have a play and see what happens … Maybe nothing’s worse than it is now. I also read that some missing features will now be restored in the 80th edition. I can only live in hope! Maybe this is just one case where Mozilla has sold its soul and becomes like Apple, Microsoft, Google, etc.
THE DETESTED
I can’t keep the new edition: where’s my favorites list and history as a launch page? FFS can’t help but look like Apple and treat everyone like idiots who want your hand with a “you don’t want to know” approach.
Turning off automatic updates doesn’t help. Firefox will continue to install update 79 without your permission. Worse, the 79 edition secretly adds tracking browsers to Wikipedia, Google, EBay, Bing and Amazon, slowing down its formula without telling it or giving it a way out. Even if you can disable them (they can’t be deleted), Firefox restores them the next time they start. I’m going somewhere else.
uBlock Origin, Uf… I think I’ll have to replace the browsers for a second.
