Buoyed by the good fortune of the Fallout series, players rushed to install mods to the game, causing the servers on the NexusMods site to become overloaded.
The popularity of the Fallout TV series has sparked a real renaissance of the brand’s games. This has led to impressive effects on series activity on Steam and a crazy increase in sales in Europe, not least thanks to interesting discounts. Many players upon returning or experiencing this series for the first time, chose to do so with mods, resulting in a significant issue.
The directors of NexusMods have stated on Discord that they have allocated more resources to deal with those issues.
These issues will be temporarily resolved, as most players only download must-have tweaks and then revisit NexusMods. However, it shows the significant influence of the TV series on the brand’s popularity, and more importantly, how must-have mods are now for your PC presence.
Of course, mods are the only way to improve Fallout 4. Bethesda is about to release an update to improve the technical facets of the game on all platforms. On PS5 and Xbox X/S, it will introduce features such as a supported solution and the ability to play at 60 frames per second. In the meantime, the PC edition will continue to receive support for ultrawide monitors.
It’s worth noting that this weekend saw another significant increase in activity on Steam for the entire series. Fallout 4’s record reached 164,000 concurrent players yesterday, allowing the game to enter the maximum of ten popular titles on Valve’s platform. Fallout 76 reached a new height with 73,368 players betting yesterday. Meanwhile, in Fallout: New Vegas, Sunday’s peak productive score was 43,632 players wagering at the same time, just about 8,000 shy of the overall record (51,000) set 14 years ago.
