Fallout mod downloads skyrocket after TV series launch

Fallout’s instant good luck also renewed interest in Bethesda’s games, primarily Fallout 4. Over the past few weeks, I’ve left several of my gamer friends betting on the nine-year-old shooter. The game also signifies a resurgence of mod downloads, especially for Bethesda games that require “repairable” mods. Traffic to a more popular game modding site, Nexus Mods, so high that congestion caused some problems over the weekend.

On April 19, the site began experiencing issues delivering content to users at 21:06 UTC. An investigation concluded that an increase in downloads of Fallout-related content was the cause of the slowdown.

“We are experiencing much more traffic than before due to the popularity of the Fallout TV series,” the prestige page reads. “We’ve deployed more resources wherever imaginable and are tracking availability and functionality across the network. We have staff to be available at all times to solve any problems. “

There are many new modifications similar to the series, such as avatar recreations of Cooper Howard/The Ghoul and Lucy MacLean (character editor settings). Various Lucy-specific add-ons, wetsuits from Vault 33, a SPECIAL Lucy preset (stats), a Vault 33 Backpack, and Fallout icon replacements featuring Lucy’s face.
