Facebook deleted seven million posts in the last quarter that were considered to have false data on COVID 19. The deleted content included the promotion of false prevention measures and exaggerated remedies for the new coronavirus. The knowledge was published as a component of its sixth report on the application of Community rules.

Facebook is the largest social network in the world and has many users who exchange and disseminate information. However, Facebook executives said Facebook would invite qualified proposals this week to audit the measures used in the 2021 report. Facebook disclosed that it had been deremade of site content as a component of its sixth community standards compliance report.
“Over the next year, we have worked with internal auditors to assess how the measures we report can be audited as effectively as possible. This week, we launched a Request for Proposals (RFP) to external auditors to conduct an independent audit of those parameters. We look forward to conducting this audit from 2021 on and asking auditors to publish their assessments once completed ».
Facebook had brought it in 2018 with stricter decorum regulations in reaction to a backlash for its lax technique for police content on its platform. Facebook pledged to audit an advertising boycott in July on hate speech practices.
The company has disposed of more than 22.5 million messages from its platform due to hate speech. In the first, it withdrew 9.6 million, which by the time quarter had accumulated up to 22.5 million. The dramatic increase is attributed to innovations in detection technology.

Facebook also deleted 8.7 million similar posts to “terrorist” organizations, up from 6.3 million in the previous period. However, the company does not reveal adjustments in the prevalence of hate content on its platforms. Facebook said on its blog that it relied more on automation to review April content. This is because there were fewer people to review the content due to the COVID 19 pandemic.

This has resulted in fewer measures being taken against content similar to self-harm and sexual exploitation of children, Reuters reported. Facebook said it was expanding its hate speech policy and would come up with “content that shows a black face or stereotypes about the Jews of the world.”
