Elon Musk said Tesla will launch “complete driving Austin as a paid service” in June.
This is similar that in the past I had done with some more details.
During the earnings call following the release of Tesla’s Q4 2024 results today, CEO Elon Musk said:
Tesla will launch all unattended autonomy as a paid service in Austin in June.
In fact, he agrees with what he said at the source of past income of Tesla when he said that Tesla “will free self -complacents in California and Texas at the time of the moment. “
Later in today’s call, Musk questioned California, added:
I expect Tesla to release the supervised FSD in California later this year, as well as in many other regions of the United States.
But the comments about the launch in Austin were more interesting.
First off, he mentioned Austin rather than Texas. Secondly, he said “as a paid service” rather than on the customer fleet, which is what has been promised since 2016.
This would imply that Tesla is launching a geofized autonomous autonomy service with teleforation in Austin, which is what Waymo has been providing for years in several cities.
Musk has also reiterated that Tesla will offer a self-promotion in itself until its formula is “much safer than human drivers. “
Tesla’s FSD leader, Ashok Elluswamy, has said in the past that the purpose is for Tesla to reach miles between mandatory disconnection equivalent to human miles driven between collisions, which NHTSA puts at 670,000 miles.
The latest data points to Tesla being at less than 500 miles between necessary disengagement.
The habit of actions confirms what many of us already know: Tesla is a stock of memes, and it is at a point that has nothing to do with its monetary foundations, or any realistic evaluation of their long -term finances.
I’m searching in the course of the action as Elon began to speak to see how he would respond to what he said and when he comments on the unsupervised autoconsular in Austin in June, the course of action jumped out:
That’s how you know how dumb the market is regarding self-driving because Elon only downgraded is previous statement.
He showed that it would be a geofender service that is not connected to the fleet of visitors. Basically, he speaks of launching years of their competitor.
In the meantime, he hopes other people will be his promises that all visitor cars built since 2016 will be capable of self-driving.
