Tech billionaire Elon Musk on Wednesday unveiled a new synthetic intelligence (AI) company called xAI that aims to “understand the true nature of the universe. “
“Announcing the formation of @xAI to reality,” Musk tweeted.
According to their website, purpose is the true nature of the universe.
The team is led by Musk and includes team members who have worked on big names in AI, adding OpenAI, Google Research, Microsoft Research and Google’s DeepMind.
The list includes Igor Babuschkin, Manuel Kroiss, Yuhuai (Tony) Wu, Christian Szegedy, Jimmy Ba, Toby Pohlen, Ross Nordeen, Kyle Kosic, Greg Yang, Guodong Zhang and Zihang Dai as members of the xAI team.
“We finally present http://x. ai. Les deep mathematics is deep, beautiful, and unreasonably effective. The development of the ‘theory of everything’ for giant neural networks will be key to taking AI to the next level,” tweeted Yang, co-founder of xAI.
“On the contrary, this AI will allow everyone to perceive our mathematical universe in a way that in the past was unimaginable,” he added.
The xAI will host a Twitter Spaces on July 14, where listeners will be able to “get to know each other and ask us questions. “
